A suburb in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, Carina has a population of 11,019 people according to the 2016 census.

In addition to Carindale, Carin Heights, Cannon Hill, and Camp Hill, Carina is located 7 kilometres (4.3 miles) east of the CBD.

A majority of Carina's residents live in residential areas

It is likely that the Jagera were the original inhabitants of Carina; they were possibly Murris.

It took its name from a Creek Road estate built in the 1850s that was the first European settlement in the suburb. Kate Carina Thorne, whose daughter owned the property, was the name of the property.

10301 residents were counted in Carina in 2011, 52.7% of whom were females, 47.3% males. According to the census, the median population age was 34, three years younger than the Australian average.
